I had the fidel cashflow, was was pretty tasty but a little plain. The pork belly was well-cooked, but I think it's hard to compete against a landscape of other sandwich options that are packed with flavor and balanced, having interesting ingredient combinations, etc. The service was great. I've only tried the pork belly, but maybe will be back to try some of the other fan favorites.
Love the amount of meat on this sandwich and service was so quick even during lunch on a Monday. I wish the slaw was a little bit more acidic to balance the flavor of the meat. But overall a good sandwich
Went once so far. Amazing service. Ambiance is alright, but it's awesome they have a parking lot. I just picked up a ham breakfast sammy. It was orgasmic, really. I feel like I've wasted sm money trying to find affordable breakfast sammys. This is where it's at.
I love supporting Valhalla, however I would love to see an expansion of options in the future. Hear me out. The sandwiches here are great. From the flavors, to the sides, to the aiolis. I can't explain everything, but it's good. My favorite is their version of the cubana. The staff are fast and laid back and it really suits this place. I also love how casual Valhalla is. I don't like the parking situation but for anyplace to even have parking is amazing. I do love sitting on the patio in the summer though! Now here is where I get to my point. The Telera roll. This is what 90% of the sandwiches come on, and it's good, but it doesn't fit all the sandwiches. I feel like this roll goes well on some but not all sandwiches and actually takes away from the sandwich itself. For those who haven't been here it is very dense and doughy. Similar to a hoagie. It is commonly used as a torta bread but the shape is smaller. Many of us who know Spanish or Mexican cuisine will be familiar with this kind of bread. Often the value for quantity makes it feel like it's not worth doing out of my way because of the smaller portions. However, this does not anyway keep me from coming. I'm just saying I want more because this stuff is super good and I can't stop eating it. Now like I said my favorite is the Fidel Cashflow and it's amazing so I still will go out of my way. I will still eat it on a Telera roll and I will still want more! Especially that rosemary aioli. Bottle it up and sell it already! Love what you do! Happy Eating!
Great sandwiches a friendly staff, and outstanding beer on tap . The restaurant is family friendly. You can sit outside at tables with umbrellas or inside. You order at the counter and then your sandwiches are brought to your table. The ambience outside was perfect this afternoon with a nice day in Seattle blue skies and cool weather . Highly recommended!
Yum sandwiches. El duderino - a bit more chorizo than we'd liked. Super chicken deluxe - DELICIOUS!!! Sweet potato tots - not shabby. Could have bigger portions for the price, but still an enjoyable spot :)
Yummy and healthy sandwiches. Love their El Duderino sandwich - it's crunchy, cheesy and flavorful. What's not to like! They have a cozy dine-in area as well as an outdoor dining space. The cashier is always friendly and patient - especially given the many sandwich options!
I like sandwiches, and I am always on the hunt for new places. I came across Valhalla, and it was ok. It was a good experience overall, and it has the potential to have 5-star sandwiches, but in my opinion, something is off, and I can not pinpoint what it is. The quality of the ingredients is good, and the combination of flavors seems appealing on the menu, but once executed, it is not as great as you would have thought. Maybe there is too much sauce/aioli/mayo on it, and the bread is different (it is not a baguette, ciabatta, or brioche, but it feels grainy and dry). Service is fast and effective, and the place is cozy even with a nice cover patio swatting Give it a try; you might find a good sandwich that might hit the spot.
Check out Valhalla for a good sandwich! I had the El Duderino and it did not disappoint. The Mac salad and tots were also tasty sides. With good portions and solid prices this place has good value too. The person at the counter as well as the person who delivered our food were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed their outdoor patio, without the patio the indoor arrangements were a little dim. But you go here for the sandwiches and not the ambience. All in all, Valhalla is a tasty spot and is worth the drive into Greenwood.
Great flavors, just needed to go in the oven for a few minutes to get the bread crisp when delivered. The one we got without bread (tuna) ultimately soaked through the box shortly after it arrived, so a bunch of it fell through the hole and ended up on the floor, unfortunately. What we did get to try was tasty, though. I think the fave was the grilled cheese - we got it with bacon, chipotle aioli, tomatoes, and hot peppers. YUM!
